Treatments

Evening and weekend appointments available.

Louise is registered with all major health insurance companies including BUPA and AXA PPP.

A wide variation exists between insurance companies as to what can be claimed for and how this is processed. For example some insurers require that you are referred via your consultant or G.P while others allow self referral. Some insurers settle fees directly while others will reimburse you directly following a course of treatment. Consequently we do ask that you check the specifics of your policy before attending for your first appointment and where necessary contact your insurer to authorise treatment.

What to Expect

The initial examination will include taking a detailed history regarding your present condition, your medical history; medication and general information e.g. work circumstances. Following this a physical examination will be carried out to identify the cause of your pain and determine an appropriate treatment programme. It would be helpful if you could bring a pair of shorts for the assessment of lower limb conditions. Likewise a sleeveless top would be helpful for any neck or shoulder conditions.

After the examination the nature of your condition will be explained and the various treatment options available to you will be discussed. The treatment options may include joint mobilisation, soft tissue mobilisation, massage, ultrasound, acupuncture, strapping just to name a few. You will be provided with advice on how to manage your condition and in most circumstances you will be given an exercise programme.
